Over the years Frank has flown many different aerobatic aircraft, from the CAP 10 to the Extra, the MX 2 and the Sukhoi. For the past 5 years he’s been flying the Pitts S1S in competition and airshows, showing it to thousands of spectators. The aircraft is registered PH-WDY after Franks nickname from the navy “Woody”
The Pitts is entirely constructed for unlimited aerobatics. Although it is made of wood and tubing it is a very strong and light design, capable of more than 6 G’s. The aircraft is extremely manoeuvrable and with a 200 HP engine ensures some rock and roll flying characteristics.
